I have temporarily been reassigned as BMM for a CAV unit serving in the S6 shop. Am I authorized to wear their Campaign Hat?

Cowboy hat with tassels...stripper attire. A better question is, “if it’s authorized, is it mandatory that I wear it?”

But all kidding aside, I think if the Cav folks say ‘wear it’, go for it.

CPT Private RallyPoint Member check out what the Command policy is on it. Ask the S6 or the Squadron XO. Usually the Spurs and Stetson are a package deal. Find out when the next spur ride is and get ready.

The unit should have an MFR that states who is authorized to wear the stetson and when. All of units that I was assigned to authorized every soldier to wear the stetson regardless of MOS. You may also want to look into what color your acorns should be.
