You're going to a TRADOC post. So you have the opportunity to go school, have your wife go back to school or you two can go and do both. You have a lot of power now because you now can plan your life for the next 3 years. Think about thatResponse by SSG Private RallyPoint Member made Dec 11 at 2017 9:56 AM2017-12-11T09:56:08-05:002017-12-11T09:56:08-05:00MAJ Private RallyPoint Member3165140<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>We have always lived off post, but the BAH for Sierra Vista is aweful and doesn’t at all reflect the market there. On post is the way to go for living, in my opinion.Response by MAJ Private RallyPoint Member made Dec 12 at 2017 5:49 AM2017-12-12T05:49:43-05:002017-12-12T05:49:43-05:00SFC Joseph Lumpkins3165999<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>I was stationed there from 1993-2015 (active duty and government contractor) and it has changed a lot. If you like out door activities their is a lot to do and Tucson is 70 miles away and Phoenix is 200 miles away. Their is a lot of on post housing that has been built in the last few years so they are pretty nice.Response by SFC Joseph Lumpkins made Dec 12 at 2017 11:50 AM2017-12-12T11:50:53-05:002017-12-12T11:50:53-05:001SG Private RallyPoint Member3167380<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>Can't really help you until you get your welcome letter from your new unit. There's a wide variety of jobs here. Most instructors work long hours. My instructors don't... but are TDY roughly 40% of the year. Most non-instructor billets are normal hours and work weeks.Response by 1SG Private RallyPoint Member made Dec 12 at 2017 9:59 PM2017-12-12T21:59:36-05:002017-12-12T21:59:36-05:00SGT F.
