I have multiple injuries and more appearing everytime I go to the VA. Doctors note in hand for a hottub, any suggestions on funding it?

I was medically retired for my Hip issue, then my knee, then my wrists, then my shoulders, now my back and compressed spine and ruptured ....(something she said). Anyways, the hot tub should help with recovery after the MANY surgeries and Physical therapy. So I have put out the almost 11k myself from savings.
Question 1: Should I even ask for help in funding this?
Question 2: Do you have any suggestions on how to do obtain funding if you answered yes to number 1.

@SGT James Abbott. The VA covers up to $2000 for home modifications for qualified disabilities. It may be worth a shot for you to request it but it should be named someting like "swirling water device with temperature ganging from [x to y], designed for moderate ambulatory abilities, etc.]

After looking at the other responses I was wondering if you have updated your disability claim with a Veteran Service Officers. They know all the in an outs of the system and the disability compensation really helps and isn't a hand out you earned the money you get from the abuse on your body from your military career.

Also some of the military non-profits may be able to help like Wounded Warrior and others with house modification or even purchase of the equipment the Doc said you need.

SGT James Abbott , this is precisely why you need to utilize a Veterans Service Organization (VSO) to review and represent your claim. Someone like the VFW, American Legion, or DAV. They usually have offices right in the VA Hospital (They do in Detroit and in Ann Arbor anyway). Don't try to figure it out on your own... use the experts to help you. SSgt Michael Cox.... If your Dr recommends hydrotherapy, it may play into getting it paid for, or a portion of it paid for.... I had a FM that needed this 3x a week for medical issues, and it was partially covered for home hydrotherapy
