I have requested and received my active duty records but there was nothing from when I was in the reserves. I thought maybe there was somewhere else that you had to send a request for your records.

National Archives and Records Administration is the office in St. Louis that holds a vast amount of information on former military members. If you have a DS Logon ID there are online resources at http://www.hrc.army.mil and http://www.milconnect.mil but they usually only have records for recent service member (last fifteen years or so). Unfortunately with so much reorganization in the Army Reserves over that last decade your Field Personnel Record (201 File) may have been sent to St. Louis or have been destroyed. Does your old unit still exist?

My last unit in the reserves is still around. I will have to use my DS Logon ID and see what I can find.

I have most of my active duty records from when I was in the Army. Do you request your Reserve records from somewhere else?

Check with your state veterans affairs. If your like Kansas then it would be Kansas veteran affairs. Each state has there own. More than likely it would be in your state capital city. When you get out of active duty they will ask you what state your moving to and they will forward an official copy to them. I couldn't find mine so I went to mine in KS and got 6 certified copies. Took me longer to go up in elevator then it was for them to get it out of filing cabinet and make copies and certified it. So check with them it faster then St Louis.
