If your leadership is telling you that this is not a record APFT, it is a diagnostic APFT. Diagnostic APFTs are used by Commanders to evaluate your current physical status. You can't be flagged for a failed diagnostic APFT, and you can't have a flag removed because of a passed diagnostic. If you were on a temporary profile, regulation allows for a preparation time that is double the profile, but no more than 90 days.
