Keeping your applications updated at all times helps in securing information, but does not actually make you safe. Additionally, though the sum of one email's content may not prove dangerous, having access to a large aggregate of information can easily coagulate into Secret or Top Secret levels if it gets into the wrong hands. Few people realize just how much the Army tries to mitigate the risks of security breaches by domestic and foreign actors. If you'd like to know more, read up on the Cyber Security Awareness information that was supposed to be disseminated to all CAC account holders during the month of November. Remember, always promote operational security by using approved government systems for approved government purposes and notify your S-2 / S-6 / Security manager if anything fishy or anomalous happens. Everything is vulnerable. That's why we have levels of security. But basic emails that pertain to small things should be able to be viewed. We should be able to purchase a blackberry or other smart phone and have our S6 put on necessary software to use it. By I must agree that sometimes not being able to work is better. I've learned to love my off time and not always be at work.
