I did split ops for the Guard and after BCT my run declined drastically. I fear I won't pass. I kept up on PU and SU. Not just 2 miles, need to be running at least 3 miles at whatever your mile pace is to pass. Running 3 or more will ensure you have reserve fuel for the 2. The underlying problem that almost every one of them have is not that they don't know what to do, it's that they're not doing anything. The APFT events require consistency. I do very well on the APFT and people automatically assume I live in the gym. I actually don't even belong to one. I do push ups two days a week. I do pull ups 2 days a week. My workouts are rarely over 25-30 minutes. I run 4-5 times a week. Good genetics plays a part in my run time for sure. But anyone who consistently does this will never have to fear passing the APFT.

Oh, and if you are carrying extra weight, lose it. It's doing nothing but hurting your performance. And it’s excellent advice. Go out and run on your own!!! You already knew what you need to do before you came on here. NOW DO IT!!! If it's within the next 2 weeks, there's not much you can do but learn from this and do better next time.
