Vocab, math, and reading comprehension are the areas stressed the most. I would not have passed the test without the refresher course. I know that I will never go 5+ years without doing math again. I improved my GT score from 105 to 125. I am trying to go the WOCS route as well. Good luck with everything. See if your Command offers BSEP. It is worth it ...I did the very same thing 15+ years ago for my commission. I did a retake and improved all of my scores except one...my PC Score (Perceptional Speed, I think) was lower, the other 9 were improved...some quite dramatically. Good Luck !!! I took it in 1982 and got a 110 at age 19, after 1.5 years (2 semesters) of Tech School it rose to a 118 (actually closer to 21 than 20). In my view, skip the BSEP, talk to a local college and see if they recommend college level Algebra, Geometry, English (grammer & comp).........thats all the ASVAB is based on......four high school classes (Ask a Recruiter). If not then take the remedial level again to refresh. Either way your not only prepping for the ASVAB but your getting ready for college (kill two birds with one stone). If your in the Army Infantry you should be able to take 6 credits a normal semester or two courses a semester say college algebra / Engish comp, Geometry / Grammar. Another tip.....college summer Semester are accelerated by a factor of two, you might only want to take one course then but in 4-6 weeks you get finished with a 9 week course with not as much BS because the teacher does not have time to grade homework and tests. So if you think you have a good grasp of one of the four subjects...........time it for a Summer semester to really fly through the material.
