I cannot use RMAs for training, and do not want to use an RST. I have be able to to this in the past for an RST (but since RST's are in replace of MUTA's and I will be going to all 48 of my MUTA's I can't use an RST).

Now, per 140-1 RMA's canNOT be used for "training". The unit should be using ADT for events like this.

I am not sure why anyone would use an RST. RSTs are for making up regularly scheduled training. ADT is for everything else (hence the "additional" part). All in person AT's were canceled in 2020 and higher levels chain of command were essentially approving any good idea for an AT event service members wanted to attend. Mine was getting AT orders cut for the Navy's Pacific West Fleet match for a week of shooting. I was getting paid the days to attend, and had to handle all costs and logistics toward the event on my own. The match itself was also canceled as a result of COVID so it was a bummer, but I've been on the hunt to get this sort of thing to happen again.

We have standing missions on rotation that use up our AT days. I've already done my days, and then there are two other missions/exercises that are in constant need of bodies warming seats. All of those would have to be met first, which is never going to happen. CPT Private RallyPoint Member Fri, 23 Jun 2023 15:40:04 -0400 2023-06-23T15:40:04-04:00 2023-06-22T19:25:57-04:00
