I asked a question earlier today and it disappeared. Have you ever experienced that?

I feel like I may be in the Twilight Zone. I tried to contact somebody who was both a member and a contact without success. He seemed to have disappeared from RallyPoint altogether and whenever I clicked a link to one of my responses to his question it took me to the display of all my groups.
In my earlier post to humor I asked if RallyPoint has a timeout section akin to Hockey or the way parents discipline young children. :-)
[July 8 Update] Two honorable people, who are generally conservative, left RallyPoint in the last 24 hours: SMSgt Gerald A Thomas and SGT Keith Bodine. I will miss their conversation and wit.
[July 11 Update] Thank God, now both SMSgt Gerald A Thomas and SGT Keith Bodine are back on RallyPoint.
I also wondered if my RallyPoint number could be "retired" upon my death sort of like the famous sports players numbers are retired :-).
Should we be notified if somebody we are contacts with is removed from RallyPoint "permanently" or for a timeout period? I think we should; but, I don't know how that could be done most efficiently. Any ideas from the group?

No, I have had posts seem to disappear and I think sometimes it is on of the people with administrator privileges trying to earn or maintain their privileges? Don't know but...wait men in black suits are walking toward me...got to go.

I am a strong supporter of the 1st Amendment right to free speech and right to assemble both of which are related to RallyPoint. I want to echo SSG James J. Palmer IV aka "JP4"'s comments that the right to speak does not include the right to belittle or insult those we disagree with. Every morning I ask the Lord to guide and direct me as I go throughout my day including how I speak with those I will come in contact with throughout the day. Do unto others as you would have them do unto you was earth shattering in the 1st century and is a great way to reduce tension now. GySgt Wayne A. This does happen from time to time. Here is a reference document review as to find what is and is not fit for discussion. Unlike Facebook we have Administrators. Administrators maintain set expectations of posted material here on Rallypoint. We are charged with aiding the RP staff police the forums. But there are topics that don't fit the criteria to remain on the forum. If that is to be the case than an Admin can and will remove that content or seek that the posting member clarify. Unfortunately it is implied that members are familiar with these policies.

The following types of questions will lead to a discussion to being removed.
1. Personal and Business Promotion
2. Not of General Interest
3. Searching for Individuals or Units
4. Employment Opportunities

If it would have fell into any of these categories it would have been removed.

I just noticed that when somebody leaves RallyPoint their endorsements of you disappear as well. I just learned another feature which is associated with somebody leaving RallyPoint. Endorsements they made are removed. SGT Keith Bodine had endorsed me a couple months ago and I went to see if his picture was in the endorsement, but, the entire endorsement disappeared.
Based on my checking of SMSgt Gerald A Thomas's questions, it looks like any question somebody posts will be erased when they leave RallyPoint which means all of our responses and comments to that question also disappear.

I want to make a statement regarding this: Minister was a really class act. RP was blessed to have him here in accordance of how he comported himself. This is why this development is so shocking and even LTC Curlee knows I had almost left as well. Christianity IS attacked here with no apologies from those who make it a sport, of a sort. You pricks are the ones who lost us a good dude and a great former service member. If most of us ever had his class we would all be better off.

Well we have some really great news SGT Private RallyPoint Member is back with usas of July 9 and as of July 11 SMSgt Minister Gerald A. Thomas is now back with us. I accepted his connect request and my profile page has gone bonkers :-) An endorsement that Keith made for me is back on my profile and I hope my endorsement for him is as well.
