I am wondering why Obama administration has not reached out to Kate Steinle's family yet he reached out to Trayvon Martin, Gray and Brown.

Could be the difference in black and white. Or he possibly knows that he is responsible for not enforcing the law against sanctuary cities like he did against Arizona for enforcing immigration laws that the Federal government refused to enforce.

Either way, this is a lawless administration that follows the whims of the POTUS rather than the law.

This is getting to be all too common in government at all levels today, IMHO.

It is most likely because with the Martin, Gray, and Brown deaths...it was viewed in the public eye as being race related whereas the Steinle shooting seemed to be random. Her life is by no means less significant than the others, but her race most likely had nothing to do with her death...in the eye of the public. However, the race and citizenship of the shooter is what has everyone in an uproar. If anyone tries to imply that Obama only speaks to families of African Americans who are killed, they must really be desperate to prove that he is some sort of racist. As a matter of fact, he also spoke to those involved in the Sandy Hook, Aurora, and most recently the shootings in Tennessee involving the military...just to name a few.

Her death has no political point to be scored for him. There was only potential damage as his lack of focus on stemming illegal immigration has been non existent and his willingness to go after sanctuary cities who are defying federal law on immigration is empty.

I also think Obama feels a need to speak out on any potential issue of a black youth being killed by the authorities or, in his opinion, incorrectly. We know a jury acquitted Martin's killer, Zimmerman so he was wrong there and he couldn't have been more wrong on the Michael Brown story. He was a criminal/felon that tried to kill a cop after a strong armed robbery of a nearby store. The Baltimore issue is a festering wound. The Mayor is weak and her PD has turned on her. She is trying to charge cops with trumped up charges. This one will all come crashing down at some point too.

Steinle was a law abiding citizen out for a walk and gunned down in front of her father by a 5+ time felon and someone who had been deported more than once and was released by the San Fran PD to kill her. Why would he speak out on that murder? Those are the unfortunate but logical outcomes of his policies. He likely views her as collateral damage in the effort for the "greater good".

All of these cases are viewed by the public as race issues. The Obama Administration most likely did not want to choose a side to support. Staying neutral on certain positions is a good tactic.
