Talk with an Air Force Recruiter about the process - you'll have to complete your present tour, and if you have more than 6-years in the Army, you MAY not be able to transfer (they don't take kindly to longevity in other services).

Good luck - and post on here to keep both us to date AND to help out others that may want to do the same!! If you are still serving your current contract with the Army then that might now be an option right now. You will probably have to complete your contract, ETS, and then apply for AF OCS. Talk to an Air Force recruiter and tell him how many hours you have left to complete your degree, and how long before you complete your current Army obligation. He gets a lot of enjoyment from wearing his EIB on his Air Force uniform. He was in the Infantry for 2 years just to get the College. Joind the Air Force ROTC while in College. Once he finished school went into Air Force as an Officer and been flying ever since. Good luck you should be able to do it. I knew many going through OTS with me who'd been in other services and did as mentioned here elsewhere a conditional release, one guy actually had Navy sub dolphins which he'd been in before going OTS . So, I have seen it done, very definitely; if you're clinical you might also want to look at going usphs commissioned corps, look at their Jr and Sr CoSTEP program their functional equiv of ROTC . I only suggest it for its inherent flexibility since the services do make extensive use of them, though e.g. uscg has its own PAs they do use usphs for pretty m much all their other clinical staff, as does the NOAA commissioned corps. Merely food for thought, honest, if I'd had it to do over again, I'd have tried going usphs myself, by all means, that's all I'm trying to say, just thought no one might possibly have suggested it, that was all, hope it's of use.
