My advise would be to go see a recruiter and get as much information as you can. I don’t know what, if anthing, has changed when I came through. If you go to a recruiter, DO NOT let them pressure you to do something other than what you want. They do that some time. After you see the recruiter, ask the question on here. That will give us Warrant Officers what you learned at the recruiting office. That would determine what we need to focus on or emphasize for your situation. Just one more piece when the time comes to sign paperwork wether enlistment papers or a mortgage be sure and read, understand the entire document! I am currently going through the same process, but on the active duty side.
I recently had a friend complete Warrant Officer Candidate School (WOCS) who told me the greatest problem with most of the high school to flight school guys was maturity. Also, when you are at WOCS lean on the older and more experienced Soldiers to help guide you and mentor you.
As CW3 Hutchason stated, READ your contract. Understand if you failed out of WOCS you will go needs of the Army and be enlisted. Again, I do not mean this to discourage you in the slightest, but understand what you sign. The recruiter is there to get numbers not necessarily help you. Good luck in your endeavor and I hope all goes well. Be willing to go enlisted, Gavin some maturity and knowledge about the Army and you can change jobs. That’s the difference between retiring at 38 vs 44!
