Just having a beer in your hand while standing near a fight can be an alcohol related incident. Instant marginal 1059, promotions halted, no longer allowed to reenlist, and set up for the QSP/QMP boards.

Oh and you'll probably be at an IET/AIT training post of some type. Avoid the urge to say anything to the privates, even when they are walking around sagging their ACU's, one pant leg rolled up, headphones in and walking down the street with no headgear. You won't win, and you may even lose.Response by SFC Private RallyPoint Member made Jul 11 at 2015 12:20 AM2015-07-11T00:20:19-04:002015-07-11T00:20:19-04:00SFC Daniel Faires807023

Ensure you get a rental on your orders , the SH screen suggests it, the schoolhouse and the balloting is spread out all over the base and to get where you need to be especially on weekend is brutal without a car

You won't be allowed alcohol at the school, when I went in 2009 they banned it

The CDTF chamber is exactly like every one you have already been through
Listen to the instructors , have fun it's a great courseResponse by SFC Daniel Faires made Jul 11 at 2015 12:31 AM2015-07-11T00:31:16-04:002015-07-11T00:31:16-04:00SFC Stephen King807389

Congratulations

If you get a chance have fun. They also have all NCOES schools and 13 series courses. If you can get a rental car try to do a little sight seeing. When I did 13F there I took my class to some of the popular places in SLC. I was able to dispatch a 15 passenger van from my unit, because it was next to our barracks. The RTI is squared away and ran professionally. Well enough to rate high on their evaluations. That was my stomping grounds for 11 years of my military career.Response by SFC David Pope, MBA made Jul 12 at 2015 4:32 PM2015-07-12T16:32:38-04:002015-07-12T16:32:38-04:00SFC Gary Romig810982

Don't remember what ab74D does but my advice is get involved stay connected to your instructors and classmates. Schedule study sessions before exams. All instruction is small group so stay really involved because your experience and that of the other classmates I'd what is going to get y'all through. At the time the only thing you had to worry about, and only if you didn't study, was the Incident Commander Exam. Everything else was easy. And if there is any issues with your barracks room, call the IHG, the company that runs it now. The Academy has nothing to do with the barracks upkeep anymore. Also, you might not have to worry about Incident Commander, I was hearing rumors of them removing it from the course, not sure how true that is though.Response by SFC Private RallyPoint Member made Jul 15 at 2015 3:51 PM2015-07-15T15:51:55-04:002015-07-15T15:51:55-04:00SFC Tom Sanchez822417

Be proactive, rest with you can, do not party, play golf or exercise in you free time, stay in touch with your family, pray for Strenthg, wisdom and courageResponse by SFC Tom Sanchez made Jul 17 at 2015 10:35 AM2015-07-17T10:35:44-04:002015-07-17T10:35:44-04:00SFC Mark Lathan836535

Don't take your pro-mask off, when there's smoke in the air.

Be safe, be sober, and have fun.Response by SFC Mark Lathan made Jul 23 at 2015 12:16 AM2015-07-23T00:16:05-04:002015-07-23T00:16:05-04:00SSG(P) Private RallyPoint Member843581

Familiarize yourself with Nuc 1 & 2.
