But I have been out since 2015, how has the new PT test changed things??? Or are you talking about going to the reserve component? I broke my ankle in Afghanistan. I was on title 10. I had to have surgery in the USA at JBLM. It took 4 months to heal but I am a number two on one of the pulses because I have plates and screws in my ankle. I would say apply for Tour of Duty mob cop through your Army Reserve unit computers and go on tours in support of operations. I am not sure if you would fail or be allowed to transition to active duty and stay active duty. Every time they re-evaluate you into joining a new component, they can be picky. I took a tour a 60-day tour working for Army North Fifth Army in 2018. I could have chosen other tours if I wanted to. Looks like your foot will heal. You didn't have any plates or screws from broken bones. I ended up getting 10% disability. The only thing I kept me from doing was going to Airborne School ( my Army Reserve civil Affairs unit transition from a leg to a civil Affairs Airborne unit and I had to leave eventually what other civil Affairs unit that didn't require airborne) even though I did score a 300 one time on my APFT 5 years after my injury and my last APFT was a 299 and I easily passed the Army Combat fitness test.

I'm sure you will get some more feedback but I would say go through Tour of Duty /mob cop through your Army Reserve computer system since they no longer let you do it at home. I hate how the Army over compartmentalizes stuff so they want people for Missions but you have to go into the Army Reserve Center to use their slow computers.

Just my two cents...
LTC Private RallyPoint Member Thu, 02 Jun 2022 15:04:22 -0400 2022-06-02T15:04:22-04:00 Response by LTC Private RallyPoint Member made Jun 2 at 2022 3:05 PM https://www.rallypoint.com/answers/i-am-currently-on-a-p2-profile-for-running-walking-and-marching-at-my-own-pace-i-dont-want-the-profile-cause-it-will-stop-me-from-ad?n=7708329&urlhash=7708329

Correction to my voice text, are you thinking of going active Army? I would say stay in the Army Reserve and pick tours from your unit that match your places you want to go instead of starting from scratch and losing a stripe. I still think they take a stripe away from you when you go active component and that's a total effed-up situation.
LTC Private RallyPoint Member Thu, 02 Jun 2022 15:05:37 -0400 2022-06-02T15:05:37-04:00 Response by SFC Kelly Fuerhoff made Jun 2 at 2022 5:30 PM https://www.rallypoint.com/answers/i-am-currently-on-a-p2-profile-for-running-walking-and-marching-at-my-own-pace-i-dont-want-the-profile-cause-it-will-stop-me-from-ad?n=7708497&urlhash=7708497

SSG James Phelps
Posted 3 h ago
I assume you are on a permanent profile, they should just administer the 2.5 mile walk, or the bike etc as an alternative to the run. They just added the walk back to it and changed the times on the others. I think it's 2.5 mile walk still. It's 5000m row for sure.

Also - a permanent profile isn't really "permanent." It is supposed to be reviewed by the medical provider every 5 years. If the MMP feels it is, then yay for you. I find it odd that the Recruiters are telling you that you would need that P2 gone...but then I'm not a Recruiter. It could be that it would require extra steps in regards to asking for a waiver. Did the Recruiters mention that?

If you can without a doubt pass the ACFT run time for your age group without making the condition worse, then yea talk to your MMP to get it removed.
