I am currently National Guard with the intention of going flight WO. When should I submit my WOFT, and how can I go about obtaining one?

I have 2 years left until I ETS from the guard and cannot find any flight WO's to bounce ideas off of.

Submit one as soon as possible. You have to have at least 12 months TIS from the time the board convenes. All the information you need can be found on the Warrant Recruiting website. There you will find packet examples and FAQ’s about the process.

Final answers to all your questions should be directed to a Warrant Officer Recruiter. You shouldn’t be doing the packet by yourself anyway!

Well because you're in the Guard I would recommend talkinf to your chain of command and see if you can RST a drill at the unit you want to join. You'll have all weekend to get your questions answered and you may even get a command endorsement.

I would visit a flightline.. and ask if they give orientation flights or space A... maybe get some stick time.. sit in cockpits and get a flight physical... I did this all as a 19D ...11B... flying was not for me. But I have stick time in an OH-58... Remember pilots are 88M's but at a higher altitude.
