I am currently IRR until 2022. Looking for info on reclass/re-enlistment to reserve 35L. What drill, life is like?

I have done a lot of research so I think I have a good idea of what the 35L would be doing and where they would be but most of this has been as an active soldier. Is there anybody who would be able to tell me what life is like in the reserves for a 35L specifically in the Austin, TX area? Is it still just one drill a month or is it more involved. Also, is it outside the realm of possibility that I would go into this reenlistment with a promotion to E-5 given the level of responsibility required in this MOS?

The reserves is a minimum of 24 days of duty and 2 weeks of annual training. The drill dates can be 2 days a month or as many as 4 days. If there are more than 2 days in one month it would mean that there may not be drill one month to compensate. Each unit has a different mission and training plan. A retention NCO would be able to look up units in the Austin area and let you know if there are any 35L slots and get you a copy of their training schedule. You will not get promoted upon reenlistment, you will need to board like everyone else.
