I am clearing CIF in two weeks and my deployment ACUs are on the list to be turned in. Does anyone else have this problem?

Normally you wouldn't turn in anything that touches the skin. I would take your clothing record to CIF and have them take a look

I would call ahead and check on that. Most likely you do not have to turn them in.

I cleared CIF at Ft Carson last week. No problem if you deployed. If you didn't deploy they may want them back.

Look at both columns at the end of your CIF record. N means that you cannot ETS/PCS and Y is the opposite. More than likely you won't need to turn those in to CIF.

The exception to the uniform turn in the Air Crew uniform. For some odd reason they want those back.

I turned mine in when I came back from deployment, both my FRACUS and regular uniforms. It was my understanding they have turn ins to prevent them being used for nefarious purposes such as attacks on coalition personnel in country.

This is an erroneous entry in the Y N column.
It should be an N however its a Y. A trip to CIF will confirm this.

CIF local said it was system wide and someone some where just has not been paid enough to fix it yet.

I've never heard of deployment uniforms being turned in because typically those are considered unserviceable so it's not like they'd reissue them. It sounds to me like we're really cutting costs now.

If there on the list turn them in to CIF no questions asked,If you don't you will be held up to do the paper work that they were lost?
