SPC Private RallyPoint Member 6146772

1) I have seen posts where the length of school (AIT) for reclass has been mentioned as 16 weeks or (6 weeks + Distance Learning). How is it determined if a re-class soldier who is already qualified in another MOS will get the 16 week or 6 week +DL training length?
2) Is the security clearance requirement for 35F TS?
3)At what point is the Clearance process initiated and should we have received the required clearance before shipping to school? I am an IRR soldier going back to Army Reserves and reclassing from 91B to 35F. What is the length of school for re-classing soldiers? 2020-07-27T13:32:45-04:00 SPC Private RallyPoint Member 6146772

1) I have seen posts where the length of school (AIT) for reclass has been mentioned as 16 weeks or (6 weeks + Distance Learning). Phase 1 is DL and correct 6 weeks + DL two weeks.
https://www.atrrs.army.mil/atrrscc/courseInfo.aspx?fy=2020&sch=301&crs=301-35F10+(R1)+(DL)&crstitle=INTELLIGENCE+ANALYST&phase=1

courseInfo.aspx

Response by SFC Steven Borders made Jul 27 at 2020 2:21 PM 2020-07-27T14:21:15-04:00 2020-07-27T14:21:15-04:00 CPT Private RallyPoint Member 6147057

never mind SSG covered down. We had like 4 reclass in our class. They did the entire 16 weeks with us.

Is the six weeks plus distance learning something new due to Covid?

You should have already submitted your request for a TS/SCI with your S2. I'm not sure how you got a class date without showing you have an Open T5.

I had my SSBI (that's what it was called then for the investigation) started when I went to reception. I reviewed my SF86 there again. In AIT about halfway through I had an interview. I think May 2005 my clearance and SCI eligibility were granted. So 10 months mine took.

Do you have a class date? Have you talked to your S2 about initiating a PSIP for a TS/SCI?
