Being at Bragg, obviously airborne should be an option but it will be up to your unit and your performance. I was with a CSH fro. The 44th and most of them were airborne qualified.Response by CPT Private RallyPoint Member made Dec 10 at 2015 10:47 AM2015-12-10T10:47:25-05:002015-12-10T10:47:25-05:00MSG Private RallyPoint Member1165397<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>If you end up heading to the 261st MMB, Doc, last I knew they were not Airborne. But then, that was back in 2010-2011 that I had dealings with them.Response by MSG Private RallyPoint Member made Dec 10 at 2015 12:25 PM2015-12-10T12:25:59-05:002015-12-10T12:25:59-05:00CPT Private RallyPoint Member1165763<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>Last I was tracking, 44th med has lost its airborne status.Response by CPT Private RallyPoint Member made Dec 10 at 2015 2:23 PM2015-12-10T14:23:06-05:002015-12-10T14:23:06-05:00CPT Private RallyPoint Member1165767<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>You should look into getting reassigned to one of the brigades in the 82nd.Response by CPT Private RallyPoint Member made Dec 10 at 2015 2:23 PM2015-12-10T14:23:51-05:002015-12-10T14:23:51-05:00LTC Paul Labrador1165929<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>The only elements of the 44th that were Airborne qualified were the HQ elements and the FSTs.....but jump status and airborne qualification went away back in 2010.Response by LTC Paul Labrador made Dec 10 at 2015 3:10 PM2015-12-10T15:10:52-05:002015-12-10T15:10:52-05:00CPT Private RallyPoint Member1166525<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>Not so much. Just about every unit minus the 82nd lost their status. The 82nd Sustainment BDE even lost their status. Only the BCTs of the 82nd are Airborne now.Response by CPT Private RallyPoint Member made Dec 10 at 2015 7:24 PM2015-12-10T19:24:30-05:002015-12-10T19:24:30-05:00SGT Private RallyPoint Member1170495<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>Right now, the only units in 44th that are Airborne are the 274th, 541st, and 759th FSTs. 240th FSAT is looking to get their guys all Air Assault qualified, but they lost their jump status last year. So you're looking at maybe 50-60 total slots for the whole brigade. Best bet is getting with Division if you're looking to get on jump status.Response by SGT Private RallyPoint Member made Dec 12 at 2015 1:56 PM2015-12-12T13:56:20-05:002015-12-12T13:56:20-05:002015-12-10T10:43:46-05:00
