Once you get out of the service those certs can get you very decent employment. The Security portion of the class is a lot of information to take in so be aware there's a lot of death by power point when you start out. Good luck man! You will be assigned to a Company filled with SMs that are reclassing just as you are (MOS-T). At the company, there are SGLs to assist with personnel issues and other administrative support. Expect to do beautification and other tasks by your SGLs and other leadership. PRT is conducted with the company at Barton field. In the class, you will have new soldiers fresh from Basic Training with you (MOS-I) along with your fellow MOS-Ts. Maintain your professionalism and do not get into any conflicts with any of the MOS-I Soldiers, because it will not end good for you.

Since you are an NCO, there is a good chance you will be selected as class leader. I was an E-6 when I reclassed. You will be responsible for helping the instructor stay on schedule, bringing any classroom issues to the attention of the Instructor/Senior Instructors, and ensuring the class and common areas are clean each day.

At times, it was pretty irritating. But I thoroughly enjoyed going through the training and learning about Computer Science. It set the foundation for me to become a Warrant Officer in the field. The difficulty is whatever you make it. Pay attention and read/understand what you are doing. Don't just study to past the Army test. If you find yourself struggling in a particular area, do not hesitate to ask for help.

If you have any other questions, feel free to ask. Good Luck to you! Once you get the concept down it is fairly easy. Learning how to map your network, and coding your Router and Switches was the most fun for me. But I like that sort of thing.

I did my class at Dobbins AFB in Marietta, GA. They break it down for those who have never touched a computer before. So I was really board the first phase. The course is not to hard. You will have to pay attention, take notes and study. If you have any computer background you will do ok. The vast majority of the students who get recycled are the ones who don't care.
All the MOS-Ts are in the same company so you want have to worry about doing it with MOS-Is. We don't use the MOS-Ts as class leaders.
Most of the instructions are cool and treat the MOS-Ts as permanent party. You get to drive to school but your barracks are garbage.
