<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>Welcome to the unfortunate to the “you’re a soldier but you’re not a real soldier” experience of reserve and guard. As others said when you in process finance is one of the things that can lag and miss the cut off for deadlines delaying your pay. Horrible to expect someone to go that long without pay especially since many of us don’t get paid by civilian jobs when on leave so you’re not just without your military pay, but also your civilian pay. It was not fun going on 28 days of orders and not being paid until over a month later for it. Thankfully my federal job gives me 15 days of paid military leave so I still had my partial civilian pay coming in on time.

<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>Unfortunately the reserves have only 3 ways to pay orders, 1 to 7 days get paid after the order is complete and turned in signed. 8 to 29 days can be inputted into the systems and paid basically right when the orders end if all goes well, most UA&#39;s will split those orders so they can pay you if you can&#39;t wait, over 30 days goes to the unit finance on that post and it takes however long they need to process, and in some cases reservist are not a priority for them.
