I am a 91L currently on orders to Fort Richardson, Alaska but still not sure what unit im going to. Where could i find out?

Go to the USARAK website and request for a sponsor and there should also have a field where you can ask any questions, so just ask them which unit you are going to. That's how I found out I was going to 699th Maint. Good Luck!

SPC Correa, as you plan for PCSing, it may also be helpful for you to connect with personnel currently stationed at Joint Base Elmendorf-Richardson (it's a joint base now). We have over 500 people there right now who are on RallyPoint. The link is below. I would connect with them and ask for advice on the usual concerns -- where to live, sponsorship, good/bad units, etc. Good luck!

When you get to Ft. Rich, you will be assigned to a "Student Company" that will be in charge of you for about a week or two. They will get you inprocessed to the base, get your CIF issued, etc. Once this is complete, they will escort you to your battalion assignment, where you will then learn your company assignment.

If your PCS'ing to JBER aka Fort Richardson you can go to the website and request a sponsor. Your new unit should be tracking that you are coming here at least the BDE should. but if you can message me with the unit your going to at least the BN I can find out for you. I am currently stationed here so i can assist anyone that needs help.
