If you're airborne, there's a decent chance you end up in USASOC which is a solid place to be. However working with them every day (I'm a 15W) in my opinion, their job is rather monotonous. I'd be happy to talk to you about my experiences with them if you'd like more info.Response by PFC Private RallyPoint Member made Feb 27 at 2016 11:15 PM2016-02-27T23:15:19-05:002016-02-27T23:15:19-05:00CPL William Mckinney1883674<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>Prior 15E, Not sure what your looking for but, some general information is youll be doing more crew chiefing then maintenance. The maintenance is simple enough, mostly scheduled anything too advanced has to go to FSRs. I only have had hands on the RQ7B but after each flight youll succefully catch the bird and be responsible for refuel defuel and getting the bird ready to go back out. If you have any specific questions feel free to message me.Response by CPL William Mckinney made Sep 11 at 2016 11:15 PM2016-09-11T23:15:56-04:002016-09-11T23:15:56-04:00SGT Private RallyPoint Member2302789<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>I've spent time in both an infantry brigade and a combat aviation brigade as a shadow 15e, in my experience we flew more outside of deployment in an infantry brigade rather than the aviation brigade. But that's probably because they are still working out the kinks of the aviation restructure.Response by SGT Private RallyPoint Member made Feb 1 at 2017 12:19 PM2017-02-01T12:19:49-05:002017-02-01T12:19:49-05:00PFC Private RallyPoint Member2483549<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>I can only speak of 15w as far as training goes, I'm about to start the grey eagle ifr course, as being a MOS-T you will be put on shadow platform after completing the common core classes UGS-unmanned ground school, USO unmanned scout operations, from UGS you will finish out by taking the ppkt the private pilots knowledge test, after completing this course alone you get the ground training for a private pilot license all you would need after is actual flight time with a instructor in a plane. Also you can take the uas license test(optional) I highly recommend going for this it's a help when you get out (another check box) USO is learning the operations side of it, another thing with the mos comes a security clearance that is also worth a bit when you get out. As far as living goes it's much easier on the mos-t with only real limit being no drinking in the barracks. If you have any questions feel free to ask hope this helpResponse by PFC Private RallyPoint Member made Apr 10 at 2017 6:20 AM2017-04-10T06:20:52-04:002017-04-10T06:20:52-04:00SGT Private RallyPoint Member2661077<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>Did you ever reclass to 15e?Response by SGT Private RallyPoint Member made Jun 18 at 2017 10:41 PM2017-06-18T22:41:00-04:002017-06-18T22:41:00-04:002016-02-27T16:34:32-05:00
