But, being a SPC, it would be best to just plan on sharing a room.Response by MSG Private RallyPoint Member made Aug 7 at 2022 3:37 PM2022-08-07T15:37:04-04:002022-08-07T15:37:04-04:00SSG Laurie Mullen7812344

It's been about 18 years since I was there, but as SFC Livingston said, plan on sharing a room. You may even get a KATUSA as a roommate.Response by SSG Laurie Mullen made Aug 7 at 2022 5:43 PM2022-08-07T17:43:50-04:002022-08-07T17:43:50-04:00SFC Private RallyPoint Member7812604

Since Casey is a small base compared to Humphrys most likely you will share a room. You should have a sponsor. Have you filled your ACT yet on your end or even looked at it to see if you have one.Response by SFC Private RallyPoint Member made Aug 7 at 2022 9:49 PM2022-08-07T21:49:51-04:002022-08-07T21:49:51-04:00SGT Chris Padgett7813491

Count on having a room mate.
If your roomie is KATUSA, lock, double lock, boobie trap, and triple lock your stuff.
Those dudes would steal your radio and leave the music.
I don't know if it's gotten better, but when I was there, theft was a massive issue. I've been in three man rooms and in open bays or tents. You're not getting a single room that's almost certain.

If you end up in a bay area or even in a 3-4 man room, figure out a way to section your areas off. Easiest way is with 550 cord and a few sheets or your woobie. Create a curtain wall and use your wall lockers as physical barriers to section off your area. I've seen some get really elaborate, hell I even put a desk in my sleep area so I could do work and use my laptop in my room. The open bay/tent, that was not an option.Response by SPC Private RallyPoint Member made Aug 9 at 2022 8:58 PM2022-08-09T20:58:03-04:002022-08-09T20:58:03-04:00CPL Shane M Griffith7832471

SHARED BARRACKS!
VOLUNTEER TO STAY THERE AND KNOCK UP A DRINKY GIRL AND GET MARRIED YOU CAN GET YOUR OWN APPARTMENT OFF POST!
Response by CPL Shane M Griffith made Aug 19 at 2022 2:47 PM2022-08-19T14:47:24-04:002022-08-19T14:47:24-04:002022-08-07T15:29:25-04:00
