Post-911 GI Bill Transferability

You can transfer your unused GI Bill benefits to your dependents while you are on active duty.

Look at the state's veterans website. In California if you are 0% or more your children got to school tuition free if they are state residents.

Georgia HERO Scholarship
The Georgia HERO (Helping Educate Reservists and their Offspring) Scholarship Program was created to provide educational grant assistance to members of the Georgia National Guard and U.S. Military Reservists who served in combat zones or the children of such members of the Georgia National Guard and U.S. Military Reserves. The grant is to attend an approved school for a maximum of up to four award years in the sum of $2,000.00 per award year. No person shall be eligible to receive grant assistance provided under this subsection in excess of $8,000.00.
