I try to look at benefiting the future, as well as benefiting myself. There's not much of a deal breaker on the negative end unless I feel human rights are involved.

Hillary - corruption all during her 30 years or so in public life and the breach of national security.

Johnson - like a shotgun aiming at everything but what is critical to our survival as a nation. He has to know that much of what he is saying is either unconstitutional, will never get by a R or a D Congress, or he is ignorant.

Trump - Can't learn, the beauty of saying nothing when required.

I don't have any hot-button issues. For me it's not about specific policies, but mostly about their demeanor. If they come across as pompous, cynical, and/or arrogant, I won't ever vote for them (even if I agree with their policies). However, the converse is not true. I won't vote for someone just because I like their demeanor. I can deal with liberals and conservatives if they are civil and respectful of those who disagree, and if they are willing to work across the aisle to actually solve problems.

On the Left, folks often vote for someone with whom they agree on one or two issues. On the Right, folks often will not vote for someone with whom they disagree on one or two issues. That needs to change. The deal breaker needs to be much bigger than one issue.

There are no deal breakers. Politics is a process of give and take. What I simply will not take is a criminal. Nope, can't vote for Hillary. I don't care what she says (even if true). She has used her position to peddle influence for cash payments. Can you imagine how much she and Bill will earn if she's President? Will America profit? Hell no!

My deal breaker issues are serious crimes (felony level), regarding the Constitution as an obstacle to their goals, and responding to protestors by silencing them rather than using them to demonstrate leadership.

Given the choices this time around, I might just wind up voting for an empty chair.
