Thought about it long ago. You have to learn French and I wasn't that committed.

I didn't much care for the French when I visited France. So, I would have to pass on the Legion.

Then I read about Dien Bien Phu.

10 years ago i joined FFL and did 5 months. At this point I was not US citizen. They have tough training and poor gear to make all this marches. Many guys joined because they had some issues at home. I suggest not to go there, cause US Army is the best and you have a lot of opportunities in the military to advance your career.
