Hurry! What's one thing you must fix to pass your next POV inspection?

It's that time again. It slipped up on you. You still haven't gotten around to fixing that thing on your privately owned vehicle . It will be inspected tomorrow. What is one thing on your POV that will fail inspection unless you can fix it immediately?

Since we don't do POV inspections in Kansas, and I am retired from the Army......nothing.

This is still a thing? You would think someone would have pointed out the difference between mentoring those young soldiers who are out on their own in the world for the first time; and micro managing subordinates in order to "CYA". I guess some commanders are still worried they will be blamed by their higher if an adult soldier were to misstep.

I am in awe that we actually still do this. I understand to a certain degree, but at the same time a vast majority of the Service Members are 18+, meaning they are BY LAW adults. And besides, what are we going to do if the service members horn doesn't work? Stop them from driving? Or do we simply counsel them on the dangers of driving without a FMC POV?

At least on the Army side, we are so bogged down by senseless things like Safety Stand-Down days and POV Inspections. Senseless things that we need to relinquish over to the "Individual Responsibility" realm. To quote Ron White, "You can't fix stupid."

No way that's a thing... I love always having a project vehicle so I would constantly be screwed- especially since they took away all our capacities to work on them while on base!
