Hunting season is on. How are we all doing?

Just finished Archery bull elk season. Didn't fire an arrow this season on a bull. But I was on alot of elk. Just was not happy with the shots I did have. To small. Waiting for bigger one and it cause me to go with out. All good enjoyed it.
But on a new note will be going back home to Kentucky next month foe whitetail season. Am excited always a great time and always do very well.
Want to hear from anyone that hunts. I am huge into it and it is my passion. Good luck and bust a big one!

No luck with early muzzleloader for Elk same score with bear- but there is late muzzleloader for elk and tomorrow going deer hunting over in eastern Washington with my brother and my niece. The best part about hunting is the experience!

Whitetail will be from the porch. Elk will require more work and I'm just getting the rest of the hunting stuff organized in the man cave. Neighbor wife shot a whitetail fork from her porch a few days ago. We have all sorts of apple trees around so the deer are always present. We're also have turkeys passing through all the time. A lot different from Western Washington and I'm enjoying Northern Idaho.

Watched two bucks (6pt & 8pt) locking horns in the field behind my house yesterday evening. Watched until I could only see the silhouetttes. Listened to them rattle their "racks" with each other for about 30 min... pretty cool. Very excited to hunt here in PA...

Didn't make it out yet this year...my last hunt was in Arizona for Elk in late October a couple of seasons back. Snowed three feet the first night...rained the next two; nothing some "shine" and a red burrito couldn't fix :)

Bow season for whitetail up in North Dakota is slow. Switched to grouse hunting across the river in Minnesota, but haven't fired a shot, yet.

In the middle of a move from Iowa to Arkansas and all I have been able to do this year is talk about hunting. I hope you are all having a better time than me.

Just gearing up for my first lease here in SE Texas. The guy I'm leasing from just opened up 900 acres that hasn't been hunted in a while, so I'm hoping for a good size buck. If I can get a couple of hogs too, then that'll be great. Going to the lease today to set up my feeder and put out a mineral lick. Rifle season starts in 3 weeks.

As a guide in Nevada it started out slow but is getting better. It sure would be great to get some weather. It's tough hunting in the 80's. But we are filling a few tags.

The elk are not cooperating this year. The weather sucks up here in North Idaho. Long hot dry summer and very little rain this fall. Really dry and crunchy out in the woods. Hope we get an early snow. Mid November would be great for the white tail rut.

Got a few big rabbits with my Martin Jaguar recurve but haven't been able to find a good spot to deer hunt on. We have a ton of hunters and public hunting land is swamped with them. I won't even go in the woods on a weekend day. My brother and I were hunting from blinds on a Saturday when a group of seven young men ( ages 16 through 22) decided to "test their rifles by shooting up the hollow we were in. My brother and I could hear and see bullets zipping by and kicking up dirt around us. I had already hit the ground putting the big logs between me and them. My younger brother quickly followed suit. Once the firing quit, I yelled we give up don't shoot anymore ok? They yelled ok and we walked up the ridge to them. They were white faced and sputtering apologies. I said you guys do know this is public hunting land and deer season is open right? They said yes. I strongly suggested they take a hunters safety course before returning and shook my head. My brother and I walked to our vehicle and left. I will only hunt public land now during the week when most hunters are at work.

Doing quikfletching on my arrows this morning. Getting ready for a week of white tail bow hunting then right into 10 days of rifle then back to a few more days if bow. I am jacked up! Hurry up November get here and bring the cold with you. Get the rut started!
