I was just thinking of the post earlier where individuals were desecrating the American Flag. How about a one-way ticket to North Korea?

Your question and it's connotation is spot on. Every time I see a instance of someone misusing the flag to protest I always come to the same conclusion... they are, without realizing it, thankful of the freedoms they have... they don't realize in the most twisted of ways they are thanking the military for it's sacrifices for giving them the freedom to even act an ass. Of course I'd rather they just went to N. Korea and have the balls to protest in such a way... or China...

Over the top and definitely a punishment you could not take back. The desecration of the flag by American citizens is an act I just cannot understand.

How about we make it illegal to desecrate the US Flag? Can't touch the ground, bring it in before the rain starts and every night before dark. Intentionally stepping on the flag should be 30 days in the county or city jail. Setting fire to an undamaged US flag is one year in a Supermax prison. Me and [hopefully] everyone on this site served that flag and all it stands for!

COL Mikel J. Burroughs Wow! He would make Mao or Stalin proud. Sounds like a I am sure there are a whole list of Airport architects and designers who can't wait to step into those shoes...
