Would you continue to cut members or rid of unnecessary programs? Furthermore, how would you go about fixing the problem as a whole? There are more than enough Soldiers/Officers who (and I have heard them say this) are hanging around until something better comes up. If you are hanging around, or you have broken your core values, or you have are unable to meet the standards you signed up for, then it is your time to go. I have a lot of pride in my career choice. I have struggled in the past with weight (prior to being in the army) and I have done things in the past that at the time seemed fine but later realized were bad decisions. This doesnt mean you are a bad person, but it does mean that this career might not be the one for you, at least anymore.
