When I was the CBRN NCOIC in my first unit, we did training a few times a year. We only did it when the task was forced downwards on us from higher. I am not suggesting that this is right...just answering the question. Most units I got to know in the Army were this way. However, with the increase of ISIS and the rumors of their using Chemical Weapons, the fact that not 1 year ago we were sending ships to the Mediterranean to neutralize the Syrian chemical weapon cache... the threat is real, and the CBRN training should be taken as seriously as anything else.
