How to remove a PT failure flag during covid?

I am a member of the Wisconsin Army National Guard and currently have a flag in the system for failing my APFT before they switched to the ACFT, what are my options under the new regulations etc to get my flag removed? My sgt said he does not know and says it's very possible that I may not be allowed to take a apft due to covid restrictions,

You can take an apft or acft currently to lift a flag. Pass and the flag will be lifted.

My unit says they are not doing acft or apft until covid is over, is this allowed, I am eligible for promotion to E4 but can't until the flag gets removed

You take another APFT and pass it. That's the only way people can take an APFT is if they are flagged for a failure.

Lots of people have taken APFTs since last year to get off a flag. It's possible even with covid restrictions.

Contact your local recruiting office. You can do an APFT with them and they can fill out your scorecard and sign it. Then give a copy to your unit and have it updated in the system to have your commander remove the flag.

Does your Sgt not get with the training NCO, 1sg and Commander? There has been guidance on this passed down from almost the start of COVID.

The short and sweet of it is that the only ones required to take an APFT are those that have failed one and are flagged. Take it, score 60+ in each of the three events and the flag is lifted simple as that.

The APFT is still authorized for anyone who has a current APFT flag only.
If your unit refuses to conduct an APFT due to COVID, find an adjacent unit, Guard or Reserve, that will conduct the test for flags.

If you have a Flag for Record APFT failure prior to the switch to ACFT, then you need to take an APFT to get unflagged. This can be easily administered because per the APFT standards, not including you, 5 people are needed to staff the APFT IOT administer one to you. A Timer and Back Up Timer. An OIC and an NCOIC. A Grader. Social distancing can be maintained by everyone with the exception of the Grader and the one taking the APFT. But, this can be taken care of by the Grader wearing a mask. The person holding your feet for the Sit Up portion (whomever that would be) would need to wear a mask as well. Either way, this can be accomplished rather easily. Pass it. Flag lifted. You switch to the ACFT next time you take one. Easy peasy.

Everything I've seen is that if you are flagged for APFT you must pass an APFT to be unflagged before you can move on to the ACFT. Currently failing the ACFT will not result in a flag.

Start asking questions in you chain of command then get with the Training NCO or who ever has been designated to take care of the APFT
