I have their UIC but for the memorandum I need their full unit how can I look this up? I tried using FMSWeb that another post said to use but the LOOKUP tool was removed a few months ago if that is what I needed to use. I am trying to reach out to them now if all else fails but it would be good info to have later as well. Thank you for your time. How can I find out the full unit from a UIC?2024-08-16T11:15:42-04:00SPC Private RallyPoint Member8844306

Good morning, I am working on getting some awards processed for some out of state personnel and the group that helped us had multiple units in that group. If FMSWeb isn't showing results, perhaps your S3 has a way to search.

Another route, is to email the personnel you are submitting for awards and ask them their unit names.Response by MSG Private RallyPoint Member made Aug 16 at 2024 11:42 AM2024-08-16T11:42:26-04:002024-08-16T11:42:26-04:00SGM Private RallyPoint Member8844431

I'm looking up units by UIC on FMSWeb right now.
Are you sure you're on the right page?
From the main page, click on Authorization Docs
Click on MTOE Documents (top left)
Click on by UIC
enter a UIC, if you enter a company, this will get you BN level (WXXXAA)Response by SGM Private RallyPoint Member made Aug 16 at 2024 3:23 PM2024-08-16T15:23:46-04:002024-08-16T15:23:46-04:00PO1 Theresa Aldrich8846616

See if any of these help...

Army Knowledge Online (AKO): If you have access to Army Knowledge Online, you can use it to search for unit information. This platform often contains detailed information about units, including their full names and locations.

Human Resources Command (HRC): The U.S. Army Human Resources Command website may have resources or contact information for personnel who can assist with identifying unit names from UICs. You might need to reach out to them directly for assistance.

National Personnel Records Center (NPRC): If you are dealing with historical records or need official documentation, the NPRC can be a resource for verifying military records, including unit information. They can provide assistance with accessing official military personnel files.

Contacting the Unit Directly: If possible, contacting someone within the unit or the associated higher command can often yield the quickest results. They can provide the full unit name associated with the UIC.

Military Awards and Decorations Websites: Some websites related to military awards and decorations might have databases or resources that can help identify units by their UICs, especially if they are involved in award processing.Response by PO1 Theresa Aldrich made Aug 19 at 2024 9:08 AM2024-08-19T09:08:41-04:002024-08-19T09:08:41-04:00CPT Private RallyPoint Member8849599

Oh............................. perhaps check both TDA and MTOE in FMSWeb search functions for UICs and units. There isn't a search function for both in one place. If you are not finding them in one then they are probably the other. It's how I research vacancies to see what I'm getting myself into.

Also, try looking in the vacancy data, they most certainly have a vacancy somewhere. Then you can see the UIC there too.Response by CPT Private RallyPoint Member made Aug 22 at 2024 11:56 AM2024-08-22T11:56:46-04:002024-08-22T11:56:46-04:002024-08-16T11:15:42-04:00
