My church used this for a while with great success and now have decided to move beyond it so they are free to incorporate some things they felt were missing from the program that were specific to our Church and would fold in better with some existing programs. With that in mind some Church leaders actively involved in recovery and some teaching staff visited other churches who had started their own program or who also had tried to take it a few steps further. They networked with these people and evaluated what worked and what didn't and what might be beneficial to us and available to use and then built on that for our own program. It's still a work in progress but is set to be launched soon.

It always starts with one. Somewhere in your Church is a member who is in recovery or knows someone who is. Invite them to participate. Find out what works. Throw out what doesn't.
There are several programs available with abundant resources to use, just spend some time researching/googling/exploring/networking.
The only wrong thing to do is nothing.
Good luck

Home

My Joomla CMS

SrA Alan Sherman Mon, 25 Jul 2016 18:06:24 -0400 2016-07-25T18:06:24-04:00 Response by CSM Thomas McGarry made Jul 26 at 2016 11:28 AM https://www.rallypoint.com/answers/how-should-one-look-to-improve-upon-a-church-s-drug-rehabilitation-program?n=1751407&urlhash=1751407

Boy now that's a tough problem!!-I certainly want to commend you for taking this on!
