When I looked at my record of things I still need to turn on I realized the guy made a mistake.
I have two different IOTVs, a Gen 2 UCP one and a Gen 3 OCP. He put that I turned in my OCP one and wrote that I was missing the UCP one when it reality it was the opposite. How hard will it be to get this fixed? How hard is it to get a CIF mistake corrected?2022-08-27T13:18:17-04:00SPC Private RallyPoint Member7846343

So I was in a hurry to leave CIF yesterday during my turn-in. Make sure you adopt an attitude of "I'm sorry I didn't catch this at the time ... it's an easy mistake to make ... etc." If you go in there with "You screwed up and I want you to fix it", you should resign yourself to eating the mistake made.

If he doesn't enter the change, you can then take it up with the CIF manager there, but you will probably need to have SOMETHING giving weight to your statement that you turned in X and were missing Y when he put down that you turned in Y and were missing X.

Barring that, if you don't have anything that can prove you turned in X and were missing Y, then it becomes a case of "hard lesson learned that you should ALWAYS double-check (if not triple) the paperwork from CIF when doing a turn-in" .... or, what time did you save by being in a hurry yesterday and having to redo/fix the mistake today?Response by COL Randall C. made Aug 27 at 2022 2:25 PM2022-08-27T14:25:54-04:002022-08-27T14:25:54-04:002022-08-27T13:18:17-04:00
