Safety can be debated in everything, ISIS claims it's usual crap and then everyone goes crazy and we have to feel less safe. In reality that is part of their ploy, it gives them a win when we go nuts trying to protect ourselves and make a big scene doing it. Baltimore goes stupid, we publicize it and it gains steam because WE make a big deal out of it when in reality it is something that was thriving on publicity. The flag burning/stomping thing, VERY few of us have done anything that actually resembles fighting for freedom, we did what we did because we were told to and I did it without regret by the way and would do it again in a heartbeat. NONE of these things are a threat to our safety. The real threats to our safety is ourselves, our incessant worrying about things that we cannot change instead of the people that need to monitor them, then if need be we quietly go in and clean it up (or in the case of ISIS we go in loudly and do the job that I failed to do appropriately the first time obviously). When it comes to other things, there is no big change in our safety. If Russia goes stupid and we have shrunk our military to the point of uselessness then we could have an issue, but the tank crews that we currently have still can beat what they have easily. If we lose some, then we would have an issue because they have not REPLENISHED those crews. We have to keep the military strong, America will take care of itself like it always has.Response by SFC Private RallyPoint Member made May 11 at 2015 1:39 AM2015-05-11T01:39:52-04:002015-05-11T01:39:52-04:00PO1 John Miller658516<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>The government(s) from 2005 on forward have enacted numerous laws all in the name of security (most notably in my opinion the extensions of the Patriot Act) yet I see no noticeable difference in the security of our nation.
