I have read my fair share of resumes lately, and yes some veterans are doing exactly this. Creating a 'Rambo Resume", no hiring managers would get past the summary.

As the author explains, unless you're looking at certain work, leave the 'Rambo" stuff out.

Don't over inflate yourself in the resume unless you have documents to prove it.

You need to tailor your resume to what you are looking for. I suggest you create your data resume, paste all your NCOER bullets in it, and copy and paste accordingly, or simply change the wording to fit the description of what you will do. IE: If you are looking to be a manager for a warehouse, it will be necessary to get all your military licenses listed that are pertinent, like forklift, or the many times you did inventory, and how much that inventory was for, a whole MRAP, can be valued between 500K and 1M, and then you can add all the other systems, weapons, Dukes, blue force trackers, fire mitigation, etc. The possibilities are endless, even if you're an 11B. Bottom line you should tailor your resume, and it can include the normal bartering you had to deal with TCN's. Trust me, as a medic going back to the accounting field, it was not easy, but once I knew how, it was fairly easy. PM me if you need advice. I will give you a hand.
