How much water will I be able to drink during the day at basic? Will I be able to drink during a long ruck march?

I just have a few questions that I can't seem to find on google.

How much water will I be able to drink during the day at basic? I tend to be super hydrated right now and my body's standards have raised.

Will I be able to drink during a long ruck march?

You will be able to drink as much water as possible. However, I caution you on drinking too much water as you could suffer water toxemia. It takes about 6 liters of water to kill a 165-pound person. Don't be that person.

It's been 34 years but they had water available at many locations but as MSG Private RallyPoint Member said don't drink in excess

Depending on where you are and the time of year, the DS's might make you do some "forced hydration." Don't worry, this isn't water boarding. They basically just call a formation and have everyone drink a full canteen a few times a day to make sure everyone is getting enough liquids. And you will always have water with you to drink when you need it.

No one wants their trainees to get sick or fall out. They will make water and food available as appropriate

Just as a base line we had to drink two glasses of water with every meal before we could even start eating.

You will not run out of water in basic. They follow wherever yo go wig water, in addition to what you carry. Good luck!

The Army is so focused on avoiding heat injuries that you'll carry three times as much water as you need, always be in walking distance of water, and be required to drink water. Chances are you'll be within arms reach of a full canteen most of the time

This is one of the funniest posts I have read on RP.

Trust me, you will be praying to AVOID water by the end of your first week in actual Basic. Getting enough will NOT be a problem.

(I was required to drink a minimum of 3 1/2 gallons a day. Every day. Sometimes more. Times have changed, but not a whole lot, in this respect)
