How much time does it take the process for medical retirement to complete from the moment the PM send the papers ?

As a former cadre at a WTB I've seen final retirement papers at the 6-month and way past the 18th month. SGM Bill Frazer is correct that locked in dates is not possible.

My own medical board lasted 27 months. it went back to the MEB and then dropped. I then served a few more years and until longevity retired.
