How may I initiate a request for an inter-post transfer?

so you've only been there a couple of months and you're already asking about a transfer? pretty sure your leadership will frown upon it.

First off, tell me where in AR 600-8-22 states that you are entitled or supposed to receive a PCS award. I’ll wait.

Secondly, you are a junior soldier which the Old Guard is in need of, so any attempt to request an Inter-post transfer will be met with little avail.

You should have done your research before going, and now may as well suck it up because they aren’t going to release you unless they get somebody back.

The army isn’t about making you happy, it’s about completing a mission.

It is highly unlikely that the CSM would support a transfer. The Old Guard is an elite unit with a great track record for catapulting Soldiers in their career, provides you perform well. As for schooling, you will attend all required training associates with you MOS, never fear. You should not expect a lot of support, frankly I would venture to say you should drop it. Your reasonings aren’t sound and the command needs good Soldiers, unless you aren’t. At any rate enjoy your assignment.
