I do this!!!! I also use the same idea duck hunting, put out a few decoys and the ducks come. Turn on the red porch light, grab a chair and a beer and open the door just a little. The hardest part is being patient let them open the door fully and don't rush the shot remember front sight squeeze.

Not a fan of any colored porch light program. All they do is make you stand out to anyone who may disagree with what the color stands for. In this case it also sounds like painting a huge bulls eye on your home.

I have no porch light on and certainly not a red one. I turn it on if someone drives up. I'm in a rual enviroment an don't even have a streetlight. Darkness is my friend. If they can't see then I can see their light then they see my muzzle flash.

No we do not. We have a small weapon's arsenal in our home. Home invasions are real everywhere. My daughter has a friend from College that had it happen just last semester. We do have s "do not trespass sign" though.

I have a red light in my observatory, but that is just so I don't mess up my night vision when using my telescope. I am normally armed though when I am in it lol.

SGT Roberto Mendoza-Diaz I finally get with the "Green Light" (see earlier post regarding green lights. It should look like this) program and you want me to change to red? How about I just get a string of muticolor lights and keep em on year round. That ought to cover everything!
