I've never taken the Army's test pure, but I did take what the proctors called the "Ranger In-Test." Which consisted of max pullups, max sit ups, max push ups and a 5 mile run timed at 1.5 3.5 and 5 mile marks. That was the first event of the day followed by a lot more stuff as the Recon Screener.<br /><br />Oh, and I don't know what the "pass" times or scores are for my service or others. I measure myself and others by distance from maxing. This was back when their fitness test just came out. Our Full Bird thought it would be a great idea to have a couple of Army guys become Physical Training Leaders (PTL), so I had to take their test. I did very well on it. I did not take the Army test again once I got in the Air Force....and didn't take the Air Force test when I was in the Army. But I have passed both. Response by SSgt Private RallyPoint Member made Mar 18 at 2015 10:52 AM 2015-03-18T10:52:26-04:00 2015-03-18T10:52:26-04:00 MAJ Private RallyPoint Member 536350 <div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>The Marine Corps Combat Fitness Test, the one in your picture, is a lot of fun and a great way to mix up PT with your subordinates. <br /><br />EVENTS: 1) 800m run in boots and cammies, do-able, but tough time standards. 2) Ammo can lift, not hard. 3) The last part is a high crawl, low crawl, buddy carry, and grenade throw medley - it's awesome, will smoke you, and is fun. <br /><br />I highly recommend it if you have the opportunity! It really tested me in ways that relate to shipboard life. I've heard it's changed a little bit since then, but I appreciate the way they do sit-ups. It causes less pressure and strain on the neck and spine. I passed no problems, but I do feel for those who naturally have large waists. When I attended the USMC Mountain Survival Course at Bridgeport of April, 2014 - I had to take the Marine Corps PFT. I wasn't worried about failing, but the elevation on the three mile run did suck. I don't know if it was because we were TDY all the time or if someone somewhere was pencil-whipping them, but I only took one PT test the entire time.
