How many members on RallyPoint are or were at one time, Skydivers? How many of you want to be? As an avid skydiver myself I can't imagine many things that come close to the rush or the feeling of freedom I get immediately after I launch myself into the wild blue! People from all walks of life decide to earn their wings and we all become family. Blue skies! P.S yes that is me in the picture. ;)

I was a skydiver way back when, ENS Private RallyPoint Member! I was licensed USPA #C-11083, and also rated by USPA as a Jumpmaster and an Instructor. I am licensed by the FAA as a Senior Parachute Rigger. Back then, there was no such thing as tandem training jumps, and every jump was made solo.
The photo is of me during a demonstration jump onto then Maxwell Morris Drill Field, Auburn University, Auburn, AL on 19NOV75. I was jumping a Papillon. The photo appeared in The Opelika-Auburn News a few days later. I made my last skydive (175) onto Moton Field (home of the Tuskegee Airmen), Tuskegee, AL on 31DEC76. LTC Private RallyPoint Member

I have done 5 skydives and I LOVED it, but after I deployed... my jump log was lost and I hadn't registered yet. I will start again eventually, but haven't had the money to restart the process of getting a license lately.

In my mind I would love to skydive, unfortunately my spine and probably my heart conditions prohibit me from landing ENS Private RallyPoint Member. If there was away to skydive without hitting the ground [or water] I might be able to convince my wife and doctors to let me try :-)

Skydiving is fun, but it completely killed my theme park experience. No roller coaster can compare to freefalling thousands of feet in the sky.

1,250 static lines jumps just couldn't do it for me so I decided to go a whole new heights of 14,500 and there's no better rush than that. During my AFF level 3 I have a line twist and slider was stuck and after pulling and kicking to no avail and my parachute slowly collapsing and falling off the sky, I had to cutaway and deploy my reserve. Fellow jumpers in the sky were freaking out when they saw a canopy flying away into town with no jumper attached until they landed to find out I was ok. One of my best and unforgettable jump so far.
