How many father / son members are here on RP? Are there other legacies?

My father, Sgt (Join to see), is the greatest man I know.
He taught me, by example, what it means to be a man.
He taught me, by example, what a man is supposed to do to provide for his family.
He taught me, by example, the attitude a man ought to have in life.
He showed me how to be brave in the face of fear.
He demonstrated how a man reacts in the face of doubt.
He exemplified how a man should be humble before his God.
My dad never took any credit that wasn't his due, and he never demanded acknowledgment that he didn't deserve.
I learned how to be the man I have become because of you, dad.
All those moments of my youth, when you thought I wasn't watching; when you thought I wasn't paying attention; when you thought I wasn't absorbing...
I was.
I am proud to be your son. I am thankful for the father you were, and continue to be.
You are my role model.
You are my hero.
You are my dad.
And God must love me an awful lot to have blessed me with you!
I know you're 68, dad...and this internet thing can be a lot to wrap your arms around. I'm glad you're here, and I know that any help you need in getting set up here will be offered before you even ask for it. These guys and dolls are family, and will be patient while you get the hang of things.
I love you, dad.

What a great question. I'm working on getting my dad on here. He served in the Army in the late 60s and served a tour in Vietnam. He's part of the reason why I enlisted and the man I look up to the most.

My dad isn't on RP...actually not even that sure he knows how to use a computer....but he taught me plenty, and like me, is proud to claim the title of United States Marine!

Oorah Semper Fi! My father was Air Force, I was born on a Army base and my uncle was a Marine on Guadalcanal. So my uncle and I shared that Marine bond.
