I was a medic and received 40 SH towards an Associate in Health Science from Coastline Community College. I only had to take 7 classes to graduate.

I received a fair amount of credits for my two CCAF degrees. The USAF program is outstanding. I wish the other services did the same thing.

0, zero, nada. However, I did receive 3 credits for Health & PE class just for being in the military. All Oregon colleges/universities do this and it'll save you anywhere from $300 to $500. There is also the challenge by exam thing for NCOs where you can get credits or use it to waive pre-requisites for leadership/business classes. But you have to write a super long essay (20+ pages) about your experiences, blah, blah. George Fox University is big on "prior learning" and will award up to 30 semester credits at no cost. They also have a accelerated bachelors program (18 months), but only if you have significant military experience they can transfer into college credit. They require a Joint Services Transcript or a American Council of Education transcript, plus super long essays detailing your experiences.

Active 38B course was 63 credits (including language school)
19D course was 8
Most NCOES courses are all worth different amounts, then different skill levels of MOS' award more too.
They also just reevaluated the JST and I got a lot more added.

Many years ago, I received graduate credit for military training and education including Air Force Flight Safety Officer Course from USC, Air Command and Staff and Air War College from Webster University. Other training or education I took may have been eligible for undergraduate credit, but I didn't pursue it because I already had a BS. The installation education office should be able to assist service members with determining college credit for Service training and education courses.

It all depends on what your Major will be in college. Some MOS credits won't matter at all for certain degrees. Talk to a school recruiter and they can tell you how many credits you will receive for your MOS.

I had an excel sheet I kept for tracking since I was a 1LT. I ended up with:

58 Undergraduate Lower-Lever Credits
15 Undergraduate Upper-Level Credits
21 Graduate Level Credits.

I was able to get 15 graduate credits for ILE to count towards a masters program with CMU. UMUC also has a similar program.
