I was a medic and received 40 SH towards an Associate in Health Science from Coastline Community College. I only had to take 7 classes to graduate.

I had an excel sheet I kept for tracking since I was a 1LT. I ended up with:

58 Undergraduate Lower-Lever Credits
15 Undergraduate Upper-Level Credits
21 Graduate Level Credits.

I was able to get 15 graduate credits for ILE to count towards a masters program with CMU. UMUC also has a similar program.

For anyone looking for what you earned, it can be found on the links below. VMET game me the most accurate transcript.

1. The American Council on Education (ACE) has recommended credits on their website https://www.acenet.edu/news-room/Pages/ACE-Credit-Recommendations.aspx

2. You can also download your transcript from Joint Service Transcript https://jst.doded.mil/smart/signIn.do There is a Military Guide on the main website as well.

3. Verification of Military Experience and Training (VMET) https://ellsworthafrc.org/programs/transition-2/pre-separation-counseling-briefing/vmet/

It all depends on what your Major will be in college. Some MOS credits won't matter at all for certain degrees. Talk to a school recruiter and they can tell you how many credits you will receive for your MOS.
