In addition to magazine articles, I read many technical articles in my professional field and my industry. I'm constantly reading, whether it is news articles, a book, or even listening to a book on tape.

I'd say I do at least 5-10 articles daily, and average 1-2 books a week on top of that.

A long time ago I developed a personal reading list, which had a real simple idea. Any time a book or author is mentioned by another living person, I put it on the list and try to read it. If they were willing to share that information with me, it probably has some value.

On articles, I like "controversy" or more specifically articles that make me think about complex issues. There's never just one side to a piece, therefore looking at both sides becomes a mental exercise.
