How many 88M SSG and SFC know about the new Master Driver Trainer Qualification Course?

I just graduated from the first official class yesterday and
it was a great class. The course is set up to give 88M E-6 and E-7 an M9
Identifier. We will be slotted around the Army at Battalion Level. If anybody
has any question please feel free to ask.<o:p></o:p>

I have heard about the class for sometime now i need clarity on the the slotting is it a 88M30 slot or will they slot you your rank. i see you posted E6 and E7.

My question is since each installation will be slotted a certain amount of master drivers, will they still let those that are not slotted attend the course if requested?

SSG I am a 92A an I completed the Master Drivers Course back in 2010. It has always been a requirement in AR 600-55. If I remember right each BN level element will have a Master Driver. MOS is not relevant as the Master Driver just needs to have the experience of the units assigned equipment. Now if there is a change to the regulation an it is only open to 88Ms I would like to know where that is.

Just a slide note, a Master Driver just oversees the Driver Training Program as it is the Commanders an leaders responsibility to train their Soldiers. Just everyone want an thinks that the Master Driver is the trainer. Check AR 600-55 it outline the Master Driver responsibilities.

I understand the BCT concept, but what about the non-combat arms unit that are not linked to the BCTs? I did some poking around today and I did not see anything in the Drivers Training Tool Box about this new Master Driver Trainer. I just googled the ASI an found a Facebook page for CSM Offord Jr. It was from a year ago. I sent him a message to get the bottom line for this training. Just hate to waste the training or have to be retrained on something that I have been doing for the last three years.

I am attending the Master Driver Trainer Qualification Course starting Monday the 27th of this month. I wondering if you could fill me in on the time line of where to be

and when Monday morning. Ive received very little info on when to report and exactly what I should be bringing with me for this course. I have the building number I just really need to know when I should show up Monday morning.
